Bug - An entry is required or has invalid value

Hi,

Using onpremis portal to SQL Server 2008 R2.  Updated to latest version.

There is one table, this has a PK as an int identity not null.

All was Ok until arecent update to the app builder.

In the app, if you now save the data, the "An entry is required or has invalid value" error comes up several times but you can still save the form. THis happens for new rows or when you edit an existsing row.

On investigation, and thank you mx!, I found that the only field to have "required" true was the PK.  I set this to false and it worked fine.

There is obviously a problem as this field will never be null.

Hi,

The table has a single PK which is an int and indentity (1,1) not null.

All was OK until a recent release of the app builder.

When saving the form, the error "An entry is required or has invalid value" would come up several times but it would still then let you save.

I found that the only column that had a "required" = true was the PK (this was the default value for a column with not null I am assuming).  I changed this to false and it started working.

Something wrong as this column will always have a value.

Thanks for the feedback.

I will make some tests on this and update you with the results.

Basically I don't think the value entered would be saved if there are error messages popped out when clicking submit.

hi,  the form is saved fine once the errors have been cleared from the screen.

the pk must be ther because it’s an identity so would be there when the row is created.

I am having the same exact issue that @Thealster has described, except my data source is a SharePoint Online List. The changes will still save, but the error is popping up and confusing the end user. Any update to this?

@Thealster & @v-micsh-msft Also getting this issue.

SharePoint Online list - very simple form.

If I submit the form using SubmitForm(Form1) I get the error stated above only my record does not save to sharepoint.

If I click the save button again without making any changes the error disappears and the form submits without issue.

I added a label to the page that shows the form1.valid state which always shows as false initially. 

when the save button is pressed the first time it will change to true and will submit successfully when the button is pressed again.
