Property disabled based on value from SharePoint list column

I am developing a simple quiz app.

The DisplayMode property of this label is quizhidden.

The OnSelect property of Submit button:

After click Submit button with the condition of all the answers are correct, the label will be like this:

I have a SharePoint list with two columns (User, Result). What I want to achieve is, in the OnStart property, if the user that use this app is equal to the value of User is same and the value of Result is Completed, the label will be disabled, and the Completed green logo will appear (exactly like above picture). Below is the formula that I got from ChatGPT, but it is not working.

Set(quizhidden, If(IsEmpty(Filter('Course 1 Result List', User = User().Email && Status = "Completed")), DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit))

Should I use filter or lookup function? I just need the correct formula at this point, and my quiz app is completed.

If you want to use the above code to disable the label, DisplayMode of the label should be 

If(quizhidden=DisplayMode.Disabled,  DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled) 

//It seems like the conditions suggested by ChatGPT are reversed because ! in front of IsEmpty is missing

  
However, the above comparison code looks awkward because typically boolean variables are used.

I recommend  

Set(quizhidden, If(!IsEmpty(Filter('Course 1 Result List', User = User().Email && Status = "Completed")), true, false))

//If the result is not isEmpty, it means there is already a record, so disable it(quizhidden = true).

DisplayMode of the label: If(quizhidden, DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit) 

Visible of the green logo : !quizhidden //Display the logo if quizhidden is false

But after I click submit, it won't effective immediately. I need to refresh the whole browser, then it reflects. Is there a refresh function?

If you do not restart the app from the beginning, you need to explicitly run it again using  Run OnStart menu in the studio

An alternative way would be to move the code to the OnVisible of the screen instead of using OnStart because the event triggers every time you come back to the screen

If running only once in OnStart is sufficient for checking the course complete history, just use OnStart.  It's better not to use unnecessary resources.
