How to debug a "Crashing" Test Copilot.

Posted on by 10

I'm building a Copilot with generative answers.

I have my data source working on Azure Open AI "Add Your Data" via the Chat Playground.

I have created a Conversational Boosting Topic with a Create Generative Answers node.

I have added and configured the Data Source. Mapped the fields from the Cognitive Search index, etc.

When I ask a question via my Test Copilot tool, the Create Generative Answers node gets a green tick and then a few seconds later my Chat window appears to reset itself and the  Generative Answers changes to a history-looking icon.

If I download the Snapshot, the history/content is pretty much empty.

I want to know how I can see some logging of what is going on/what is going wrong.

    Good morning amazing people,

I hope you are doing well. While the copilot interface is not foxed, it is possible to deploy the bot using azure openai (and it works!). If you want to build your bot from the ground up and do tests, it is still very complicated, if you want to do minor parameter changes, you can do it.

    Have a great day !

I have the same issue, works for a day or so then it just dies. Did it twice, tried everything possible to get it to work. I opened a ticket.

    Same problem here.
Already deployed copilots seem to work fine. Different types of index query (vector, semantic, simple), none of them worK.

More info: when I deploy the Chat Bot to a test website, it works, including being able to query Azure OpenAI - so it looks like the issue is limited to a combination o the Test Copilot and OpenAI
