Hi,
I am seeking assistance to create a flow which will automatically change an Excel file's permissions from "can modify" to "read-only" every Thursday at 5 P.M.
Although it seems like a straightforward task, I am unsure on how to proceed.
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Parrish
Hi @Parrish
Could you specify more? Because I guess it should be a different file for each week, right?
Hi @fchopo ,
It's Only at every two week (39, 41, 43, …)
File are "the same template"
13W_Intercos_AMERICA_SEAFRIGO USA INC_2023_39
who become
13W_Intercos_AMERICA_SEAFRIGO USA INC_2023_41
In new week
Same for all files
For America
Hi @Parrish
You could do something like this:
1) Every Thursday at 5pm (UTC)
2) Go to a doc library in a SharePoint site (where your Excel files are stored)
3) Get file list
4) For each file, change permissions (can view) to specific group of users (users who can access your site)
Hope that helps!
Ferran
@fchopo i already try this but didnt work because the file can already be accees in full perm before i turn sharing file in read only.
Maybe didnt work because i didnt have all accees, i will go try your method because i now administrator on teams for my flux.
Hi @fchopo I test your flux but didnt work because member can always edit the file 😕
