Hi,
I am trying to create a Leave Monitoring.
I have two sharepoint list. The "LeavesAppliedByUsers" and "BalanceLeaveMasterList".
In LeaveAppliedByUsers List, it shows all the leave requests of all employees.
In BalanceLeaveMasterList, has the list of employees with their allowable number of leave per leave type.
Now this is what i want to happen:
Once the request leave( example Sick) has already approved , the TotalDays from 'LeaveAppliedByUsers' list will be inserted in the column "Used" in 'Balance Leave MasterList' matching the Employee name and Leave Type of the requester. And when another Sick leave has been requested and approved from the same employee it will just sum the total of sick leave in the column "Used" in 'Balance Leave Masterlist' and not to create/add another row.
Is this possible to achieve? Please tell me what the best thing to do. I am a newbie here (No programming knowledge) so please bear with me. I keep searching a solution from youtube but i never see any as similar to this one.
Hi @v-yujincui-msft I just want to give you an update to this solution you've shared above. I know you gave another solution that works but I have some problem with that. So I go back to this first solution you've shared and conduct double checking every details. That's when I found out that this solution totally works.
I just want to explain why I am having trouble with the solution you gave me , it is because I kept missing a little details. And this is also to help the viewers who experience the same issue and still looking for solution.
1st - The flow run successfully but the number of total days of leave did not reflect in 'Used' column even though the status of leave request is already approved. This is because in the condition part I entered 'approve' instead of 'approved' that is why the result of the condition returns FALSE.
2nd - Note that the Add Function does not allow empty value in column and expects two numbers for the calculation. I have empty columns in Balance Leave Master list as default value that's why I encountered error. Better enter a '0' value rather than a null to avoid this kind of error.

We're thrilled to announce that Ahmed Salih is our Super User of the Month for April 2024. Ahmed has been one of our most active Super Users this year--in fact, he kicked off the year in our Community with this great video reminder of why being a Super User has been so important to him! Ahmed is the Senior Power Platform Architect at Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. He's been a Super User for two seasons and is also a Microsoft MVP! He's celebrating his 3rd year being active in the Community--and he's received more than 500 kudos while authoring nearly 300 solutions.
