Trying to format date and time in an HTML table from SharePoint List but receiving 'Array' error or no result

Hello,

I've been a lurker in this community for a while. It has been extremely helpful as I try and navigate using Power Automate for my job. Unfortunately, I have found no working solution to my current issue. 

Right now, I have a flow that automatically executes each business day at 8:00:00 EST. Ultimately, this flow sends out an automated email with specific information retrieved from a SharePoint list. As of right now, it currently does exactly what is necessary, which is it emails a formatted table of filtered information from the SharePoint list to relevant parties. 

The problem I'm having is almost purely aesthetic in that right now the output table's date format is yyyy-MM-dd, which is not ideal. I want it to be MM-dd-yyyy, or even MM/dd/yyyy for accessibility purposes and ease of viewing for the recipients of the automated email. 

This is the original flow, that does what I need it to do, but the date format is yyyy-MM-dd:

In the following Compose steps, I tried out using this solution :

Here are the formulas I'm using for each step:
Last Shift Date: 

if(empty(triggerBody()?['Date_x0020_of_x0020_Last_x0020_S']),

    'No Date',

    replace(triggerBody()?['Date_x0020_of_x0020_Last_x0020_S'], '-', '/')

)

Effective Date: 

if(empty(triggerBody()?['Travel_x0020_Date_x002f_Effectiv']),

    'No Date',

    replace(triggerBody()?['Travel_x0020_Date_x002f_Effectiv'], '-', '/')

)

However, here are my two problems:
1. When I test the flow, each loop of the "For Each Date" succeeds, however this is the input and output of the formula steps when there is a date in that section of the SharePoint list, which is incorrect:

The "No Date" should obviously not be there when there IS a date input, and the output isn't changing the input as coded (replacing '-' with '/') as a result, I think.

2. I am getting this error on my final "Compose - Rename Table" step now:

Genuinely, I have no idea what to do. I feel like I've tried everything I could possibly locate on Google and in this community. I need to emphasize that the original flow does exactly what I need it to do, so leaving it the way it is is an option, but I'd prefer if I could adjust the formatting of the date away from yyyy-MM-dd which is what it's getting from the SharePoint list, while also accounting for the fact that there isn't always a date input in that part of the list so I either need to leave it blank or put 'No Date' (preferrably 'No Date' or 'TBD' ) when that happens. 

I feel like I'm so close, but my situation is so unique that I can't seem to find a viable solution that will work for me. I've been at this for about a whole week now. 

Any suggestions?

@Wynt You actually don't need these two Compose actions. You can simply use expressions. The reason you added these compose actions is because the dynamic content isn't available to select from when you use a formula.

You need to delete the output in your Compose action. 

The empty() function will check to see if the dynamic content entered into the function is empty. If so, it will return a true/false.

The if() function takes three parameters. 

if([boolean],[value if true],[value if false])

Your expression should look like this:

if([empty([date column dynamic content)],[date column dynamic content],[No Date])
