Command bar PowerFx button error: "The Component Library is still publishing. Please try again."

I have a bunch of buttons in the command bar in different entities. They all suddenly failed to load the PowerFx.

The Javascript button are still working. But if click on the buttons with PowerFx function in the OnSelect property, it is prompting the error "The Component Library is still publishing. Please try again."

And I guess because the visibility of the buttons are also using PowerFx and they are not working. So now every button are displaying no matter what the condition is. They were just working well in the morning 😞

e.g. the button has set to appear only when selecting more than 1 row, but it appears anyway

I have tried republishing the component library, republishing some entity's command bar, regenerating ribbon metadata, publishing all customisation and recreating the buttons etc. None of them save me.

Can anyone help me :'(

Try to share some findings here in case if anyone needed.

We have tried to create a brand new environment, a brand new solution and a brand new app. Just simply added a button with component library and publish. It is still getting the same error.

This error is encountered once published the component library. And once it happened the only way we found is to revert the solution to previous version which has not struck by the error.

So if you fortunately have a backup of your solution, you could re-import it and get away from the error (and probably lose some progress). BUT DO NOT publish the component library again or the same error will come out.

Then remember to raise a ticket with MS!

Hello,

When I had such situations I used the "Publish all customizations" button. Usually, it solved issues. If it didn't - the only other option for me was to reach out to Microsoft Support and ask for help.

I have started to see this since yesterday aswell across multiple solutions and multiple tenants. This thread has the same error https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/New-Command-bar-using-PowerFx-gives-error-qu...

I would suggest raising a ticket with MS. Thats what I have done. More people to raise it the more chance they will look at it and hopefully get it resolved.

Agree, please raise a ticket so that Microsoft will get this bug fixed.

Oh god! Thanks for telling me. I was about to get crazy about this. Will submit a ticket to MS.

Yes, I've tried deleting the button and the default command library (itself something of a mission, I did it using SQL 4 CDS as per this post https://automatevalue.com/short/removing-defaultcommandlibrary/) and then creating a new app with a simple test button, but no joy.

Did you find a solution? the bug is listed as known issues, but the workaround is no good, I don't have any earlier version than the one specified by them

Hey all,

Just following up on this since the Known Issues provided by @vvsecrieru actually ended up working for me. Here's what I did step by step to get it working:

1) Did a Save & Publish whilst I was in the command bar designer:

Veeks01_0-1714036600553.png

2) Opened the component library from the command bar designer:

Veeks01_1-1714036687500.png

And then when the component library had opened up I then published it:

Veeks01_2-1714036870821.png

3) Finally I cleared my cache (I am using Edge as my browser):

three dots icon present at the top-right > Settings > Privacy, search & services. Scroll down a bit to find Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data. Select Cached images and files, choose a time frame (I set mine to All time) and finally click on Clear now.

I'd suggest using Edge as your browser if you are still experiencing this issue on a browser like Chrome or Firefox.

Hope this helps anyone still struggling with this issue.
