Delegation warning with minus sign

Hi all, 

I have been developing an app for a few months now with no delegation warnings. Last week I suddenly got 66 delegation warnings ! Thankfully I have found the main source of the problem which is that I use the ID -1000 for my default values. The delegation warning says that the operation minus cannot be handled by the connector (Dataverse). I have managed to remove the warnings by wrapping the code in the value function and it seems to be working find, but I want to be sure that this isn't going to cause a problem. If necessary I can change my default ID to something else without the minus. What are your thoughts ?

This was quite interesting as I have used negativ ID, but never seen delegation error (Or maybe I Ignored it).

Anyway, there is a solution that might help, depending on how many negative records you have. If its within max papps limit (2000), its OK. Try this:

With(
    {
        __NegValues:
        Filter(
            REF_Qualification,
            QualificationID<0
        )
    };
    UpdateContext({
        _negative1000:
        LookUp(
            __NegValues;
            QualificationID = -1000
        )
    })
)

You will not get any delegation. I tested this with a data source with  6608 records, and it found the correct record.

As mentioned, if you have more than 2000 records with negative values, you will not get all the data. Then you have to try to filter it with more parameters as well.

Thanks for your reply and idea.

It is strange because there are parts of the app where it doesn't throw an error but in some more complicated filtering it did. What's also strange is that it was fine for weeks and then suddenly threw an error last week. My current solution is working I was just wondering if anyone saw a problem with it as I am not really changing the filter and value, just the way it is presented. 

I only have one negative value per table for the default so if necessary I will implement your idea. Thanks
