Help! Gallery NOT visible to users

I have run out of variables to test in this scenario. I have a SharePoint-integrated form with 2 screens. The second screen has a gallery with a SQL db data source. As the creator, I see this and do not receive any errors or delegation warnings.

So far, I have 3 testers that cannot see this gallery and I have confirmed the following:

1. All users have same edit permissions on SharePoint list

2. All users have correct Power Apps license

3. SQL connector has been shared with all users with 'can edit'

4. Even though I wasn't getting any delegation warnings, I attempted changing the Item property of the gallery to point to a collection gathered from the database on App OnStart. (For testers, gallery was not visible for either scenario - direct reference to DB or collection. Both worked for me)

SortByColumns(Search(GPRCollection,SearchBox.Text,"Name"),"Name",If(vSorted,SortOrder.Descending,SortOrder.Ascending))

5 Regional location did not impact visibility (testers were in US, India and Ireland)

6. Just to state the obvious, Visible property of gallery is set to true and also attempted setting the OnVisible screen property to Gallery1.Visible. (no impact)

7. Screen is not blank. Users can see layout, back button, labels and submit button

8. If users type something in Search bar, no change in visibility to gallery.

What in the world else can I check that may be causing this?

I realize this doesn't directly answer your question, but I believe it's important to observe how the app behaves when the user launches it versus when the developer does. Utilizing a built-in debugging tool like 'Monitor' can be immensely helpful in pinpointing the root cause of the issue. This tool enables you to "invite" users into a Monitor session, during which you can view the code being executed in real time.  You can also save the session log for offline analysis.

For more details on using 'Monitor', you can refer to this link: Monitor Overview

This is a great idea. I see how to invite people to the monitoring session but can you provide a little more detail on how it works on their end? When they receive the invite will they then test the app from their side as usual or will they use the play function on the app in customization mode?

@acoliva The user will be sent a special link that opens the app in a player, and they can interact with the app to reproduce the issue following your instruction on a Teams call or whatever.  While their session is playing, you as the developer, can view the code interactions inside the monitor console.

To do this:

1. Go to the app details page, click Monitor

2. Click Connect user, find the user, copy the link URL, and send to user.

Anchov_1-1697554959873.png

3. The user will open the link in their browser and click join the session.

4. The user will interact with the app as needed to reproduce the issue.

5. You as the developer will view the interaction in the monitor session. Hint: Clear the data right before reproducing the issue, so that it is easier to isolate the actions causing the issue

Attempted monitoring session, following steps here and on MSFT Learn but no matter if user opens form directly on SP or I even if I allow them to edit the app and use 'play', no details appear in the log at all.

Just to be clear, you did generate the special link to the app as shown in this screen shot below?  The only way for the log to connect to the monitor session is to use the special link.  Also, Once the monitor session is closed (or screen is refreshed), a new link will need to to be generated, so its recommended that  the monitor session happen in real time while on a call.

Yes - that was very clear. Attempted a few different sessions with different links. I have no idea why it wouldn't have worked. It all seems very straight forward.

I just caught that you are  using a SharePoint-integrated power apps form.  In that case, unfortunately, monitor cannot be used 😞. Sorry for running you down that rabbit hole, but maybe monitor will be useful to you in the future.
