Powerapps attachment of sp list delete & Update

Hi.

I have a powerapps. It contains attachment control from sp list.

The issue i am facing that once i submit the form with the attachment, then if i open this item in edit mode & removing the previous attachment and uploading and submitting a new one. But after submitting it is containg the both attachments the old & the new one also.

I am using a collection also for this.

Please help if anyone aware

without seeing any code u are using for your collection i guess that is because u did not remove the previous attachment from the collection.

Hi @mmbr1606  i am using Clear(addAttachments); code on OnRemoveFile

I also tried ClearCollect(addAttachments, Table()):

& OnAddFile i am using Collect(addAttachmets, self.attachments);

When we are clicking the cross button it removes the old files, but after submitting with the new file, it is available there alongwith new attachments

can you show the collection code you are using please, and also do u remove this item from the collection somewhere?

what you can test:

upload a file and save it, then delete the file again and look if you can still see it in your collection (on the left side panel in the datasource tab

When deleting. Its removed from the collection, but after submitting the form, the deleted attachment is also ther

Is there a reason why u are using a collection for this?

Right now i am not ony machine (but will be in the next 30 minutes) i can show u a very easy way to patch attachments from the Attachments control

So actually i have to use two attachments datacard. That's why i am using the Collection.

Basically the need is. I have a form through which requestor raise a request it will include a one attachment datacard.

After submitting the form. A approver will come in the same form there is some datacards that will be visible to approvers only. . That include a action dropdown a attachment datacard2, .approver will also upload a attachment. 

Now assume if approver select the action as Additional information required.

Then the requestor will have to edit his request and delete the attached file which he attached in attachment datacard1, and reupload with correct file.

There's i am facing issue, when the requestor deleting and re-attaching the file. And submitting.

hey @Ali_sam 

i do it that way. i have an attachment control that is in a form at the end of the patch i simply put Form5.Updates and it works perfect.
