Hey everyone,
Relatively new to Power Apps. However, I've made a few so I feel like I can get around relatively easily.
I have a Form that has two SharePoint List attached to it.
the SharePoint List (Apps) has a few fields that need updating with each submission:
As the form is now, it is creating new rows in the Apps list without issue. It is also updating current items without issue. The dropdown lists are all sorted alphabetically already. The display is not the issue.
My issue is with submitting the selected fields alphabetically.
For instance, if I have an existing item on the list, or even a new item, if the user has the Sites selected, but are not selecting them in alphabetical order, when the form is submitted, the list of sites is submitted in the order in which the user selects them.
Is there a way to submit each form that will automatically alphabetize the Sites field alphabetically so that even if an older item is updated, the Sites associated will remain alphabetized?
To help explain further:
First submission Sites selected in this order: AA, AB, BC, DC
Adding to the list later on: AA, AB, BC, DC, BB, CB
The Site list will show:
AA, AB, BC, DC, BB, CB
I want the end result to always reorder alphabetically, in which the order would adjust to:
AA, AB, BB, BC, CB, DC
I would have hoped that applying Sort() to the Update Form field would do the trick, but that didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

I very much appreciate the assistance. Using what you've provided, I was able to resolve this by adjusting the Update field as follows, I guess my prior attempts had a typo or something:
Sort(Sites_DataCardValue1.SelectedItems, Value)
Thank you!
Hi @The_Morlock ,
You have not posted the name of the Combo Box, so insert it below in the Data Card Update
ForAll(
Sort(
ComboBoxName.SelectedItems,
Value
) As _Data,
{Value: _Data.Value}
)
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

Thank you for the reply.
I've used the following, but it appears to not be updating the SharePoint List that it is attached to:
ForAll(Sort(Sites_DataCardValue2.SelectedItems,Value)As _Data,{Value: _Data.Value})
Or formatted:
ForAll(
Sort(
Sites_DataCardValue2.SelectedItems,
Value)
As _Data,
{Value: _Data.Value}
)
When I use the above, I get the following in the List (since the field is a required field):
The site that was there, is no longer there. If I update the field outside of the power app, it works fine. The above also happens if I add a new item to the list. The Sites show as required but no Sites are listed. So this happens on both New and Updated List items.
I hope this helps, but I have the following in each of the below DataCard fields:
Default = ThisItem.Sites
DataField = "Sites"
Update = ForAll(Sort(Sites_DataCardValue2.SelectedItems,Value)As _Data,{Value: _Data.Value})
The input box has the following in its fields:
OnSelect = false
OnChange = false
DisplayFields = ["Value"]
SearchFields = ["Value"]
Items = Choices([@'Application List'].Sites)
SelectMultiple = true
DefaultSelectedItems = Parent.Default
MultiValueDelimiter = ", "
While I know a lot of that isn't needed in this case, wanted to be sure that the full picture was out there.
Thanks again! Here's hoping the next reply does it!
I assume Sites is a Multi-Choice field in SharePoint - ran a test here and got the desired result
This is my Update of the Data Card
and the rest of the settings
I cannot see anything different in yours (maybe you can)
I very much appreciate the assistance. Using what you've provided, I was able to resolve this by adjusting the Update field as follows, I guess my prior attempts had a typo or something:
Sort(Sites_DataCardValue1.SelectedItems, Value)
Thank you!
It is strange that what you posted worked and what I posted did not as it worked perfectly in my test and is probably technically more correct as I am sending a Table
