Uncheck all boxes after updating sharepoint list.

Hopefully, this will be my last request.  Many have helped me with my app and I thank you.

I have a Gallery from a Sharepoint list that has checkboxes.

I have  two buttons, a Select All and a Unselect All for the checkboxes. It works great when I'm in a current session. But if I select a few checkboxes and  update (patch) to the sharepoint list, then re-open the app, I would like to use the Unselect All of the checked boxes but it doesn't work. I can Select All and then Unselect All, but it will not uncheck the existing checked boxes.

The OnSelect on the Select All button - UpdateContext({VarSelectAll: true})

The Onselect on the Unselect All button - UpdateContext({VarSelectAll: false})

The Default on the check box is - If(ThisItem.Status="No",false,true)||VarSelectAll

I tried the Reset property to - VarSelectAll

So, I Select All, update to Sharepoint list, go back to the app, Unselect All does not work.

Thank you all for your help.

I figured out a different way.  Since I use the Yes or No status for the checked boxes, in the Unselect button, I have it update the Status list to all say "No".  Working great.

Unselect All button - UpdateIf('Server List',Status="Yes",{Status: "No"})

If you using classic controls:

create local variable (by adding code in next block to submit button that variable will be created)

UpdateContext({varResetAll: true})

Now in the Submit button at the end of the code add

UpdateContext({varResetAll: true});
UpdateContext({varResetAll: false})

now in the Checkbox Reset property add varResetAll

I'm sorry, what do you mean by create local variable (by adding code in next block to submit button that variable will be created).  Do I add this code to the OnStart property on the App?

@Timm1

Just add that code to the Submit Button.

UpdateContext({varResetAll: true});
UpdateContext({varResetAll: false})

That will create the variable and than add it to Reset Property of the control

I added the two updatecontext to my update button and added the varResetAll to the Reset on the checkbox but still doesn't work.  I open the app and the Unselect All button will not uncheck.

Thank you for your time.

@Timm1

That will trigger only when You press the button if you want to clear all checkboxes when the user see this screen add

UpdateContext({varResetAll: true});
UpdateContext({varResetAll: false})

 above code to OnVisible property of the Screen

@Timm1 Please try changing the Default property of the checkbox to

If(ThisItem.Status="No",false,true) && VarSelectAll

Hello I changed to && and it doesn't show the current checked boxes.  I need to see the current checked boxes when launching the app.

Thannk you!

Ugh!  Still not working. This may be more complicated than I anticipated.  Let me explain exactly what I'm doing.

I have a server list that has the server names and a description. Our Network Admin will pull up the App and I have that list in a gallery with checkboxes. He checks the servers that he is working on and when he submits, It patches the checked servers information to another list on sharepoint site for the employees to see what servers he is working on.  Then, he can go in and uncheck the servers he is finished and submits, it deletes the current list and updates what is left checked.  All works great execpt the Unselect All.  If nothing was checked before, the Select All and Unselect All works.  But if there are exisisting checked boxes from the list, the Unselect All will not unceck those boxed in the app. If I Selects All, that works, but when I Unselect, it will uncheck all except for what was currently checked.  Does that make sense?

Thank you for your time.
