Yes/No data type in Dataverse (4Teams) table in Collection appear as question mark "?" using ShowColumns

I've built a DV4T table (CannedMessages), with several Yes/No columns, and need to collect this data and use it to trigger behavior.

I created a collection (colActionsTaken) and read in the values from the table using ShowColumns, so all the data comes with. Each item checked/selected in a gallery will add another item to this collection, along with a bit of other necessary data.   Code in photos below.

When I view the collection, the Yes/No columns' data appear as "?" question marks.

Everything works as designed, except for the Yes/No data not appearing in my collection.  Don't think I'm doing anything special here, but all the other data comes into the collection just fine.  Yes/No columns (yes, I know it's really stored as 1/0 'choices') are not usable.  What am I doing wrong, or how do I get the actionable yes/no, true/false, or 1/0 data from the records in CannedMessages to show up in my collection, alongside all the other record data...?  Help!

You can see here there IS Yes/No data stored--not just empty fields:

Pretty sure each "Choice" in a choice field actually IS a record.  ".Selected" property in a combobox is a type RECORD.  If your can store multiple "Choices" the property ".SelectedItems" becomes a TABLE.

I'm not stressing anymore, since the data "works"--I can use .KitStatusChg or .TriggeredByApp columns now from the collection to evaluate to True/False in Formulas.  Not sure why that wasn't working before.  But I would think displaying the data that is stored is the whole point of having a "collection" screen that shows variable contents...

I came across this issue when using the Modern Table control. The Yes/No column would not display anything. Here's the workaround I used. Using the AddColumns function I did the following:

AddColumns(<data source>, "Yes/No", If(YesNoColumn, "Yes", "No"))

That displayed a "Yes/No" column with values of "Yes" or "No"

Nevermind.  The question marks shown now respond to True/False queries.  Maybe I was doing something wrong, but the collection still displays question marks, instead of Yes/No, 1/0, or True/False.

Suppose it doesn't matter what it shows the developer, so long as the code works...

Hi @wtmayes ,

Maybe it's due to the special column type Choice. This kind of columns could not display in the collection because values are not of any types of texts or records or tables.

I had the same issue, question marks appearing in the Collection view for all the Dataverse Yes/No fields. Your post helped me understand that the data are actually present, just not displaying in the raw collection, but they work when referenced throughout the app.

Thanks!
