mark selected Item in Gallery as reviewed

Hi guys,

I have 2 pages:

- page1 is a list of customers

- page2 are the details of the selected customer

I have a checkbox for every customer inside my Gallery in page1 and I would like it to be checked after I click on the "save" button on page2.

This is simply supposed to show me which customers are already reviewed and which still need to be.

For now I have tried to set a variable in the default of the checkbox in the gallery. This of course resulted in every Item in the gallery to be checked after I clicked on "save".

I would be glad if someone could help me with that.

Thank you

in that case, if this is a per instance checkoff that needs to be displayed while they are in the current session, but can be removed next time someone opens the app, what you would want to do is when you click the button to open that customers info, is put a checkmark somewhere in first screen. then have your button to open that customers info have this added to it.

If(Not(ThisItem.ID in CustEdits.ID),  Collect(CustEdits,ThisItem.ID));
Set(guestFocus, ThisItem.ID)

this will add this customer to a list of edited customers when you execute the code to open that customer. Now when you click save edits, jsut go back to the customer screen and have the checkmarks vis set to

ThisItem.ID in CustEdits.ID

Now on the edits screen you will also need a cancel button i assume in case someone decides not to edit the customer, and when that happens you will give it whatever code you currently have to go back to the customer screen, dont include any pathc/update code, and add

RemoveIf(CustEdits, ID=guestFocus)

Here is an example below, in this example I have a gallery of people on a roster, and a checkbox labeled manager. By defualt this has the state of that column on the list associated with this data. If you check the box that was not checked and click save (i placed save button outside the gallery so you could fire off as many edits as needed simultaneously) then it goes through all these records and any that have been made true, it patches that data back to sharepoint

Below is my save button code

Patch(
///SPLIST NAME BELOW
TeamRoster,

ForAll(
////GALLERY NAME BELOW
Gallery4.AllItems As recordEdit,
       Switch(recordEdit.Checkbox1.Value, true,
               {ID:recordEdit.ID, Management:recordEdit.Checkbox1.Value})))

Thank you for your quick answer.

so in your case you save the data of all the checkboxes the user has selected.

In my case though, the user doesn’t select the checkboxes. First the user selects one customer of the first page “customer list”, which brings him to the second page „customer details“ which are the details of the selected customer. In that page the user does some adjustments.
(What I need ->) After the user is finished he presses the save button, which then should make the checkbox true (in the first page “list of customers”) in order to show that this specific customer has already been checked.

(It doesn’t necessarily have to be a checkbox in the customers list. It can also be a symbol which gets visible when save button is clicked)

For now there is also no need to get the data back to SharePoint.

i hope my case is a bit clearer now.

Thank you for your help

Hi Guys,

i am having some trouble finding a suitable solution for my Problem.

I have a Sharepoint list with many Users. Each user has a manager email column.

I want the currently signed in Manager (in Office365) to see his Users (the ones in the sharepoint list with the Managers Email Adress in the Manager Column).

The Delegation Issue occurs for Data that is above the 500th Line in the List.

My Code in My Gallery is simply : GroupBy(Filter( 'List', manager = 'logged in user email adress') "name", "column1", "column2" )

Is there any way to work around this problem?

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Best regards

Leslie
