Unable to Create New Service Areas

I'm trying to create a Service Area table; however, when I click "Edit" in the "Service Area columns and data" area, the Service Area column is grayed out and I'm unable to make any changes.

Kia ora @Woodmeli,

That column is read only, the video should have had you add another column called ServiceAreaName. If you have done that step but you can't see it, click the dropdown where it says 16 more, and click the tick box next to ServiceAreaName. You will then be able to see the ServiceAreaName field and be able to type in it to add a new row.

Ngā mihi,

Ben

Hi @Woodmeli

From what I see from the snapshot posted, it looks like you don't have the proper security role, do contact respective administrator to assign you a proper role.

If this is already done, but if you still don't have access to create records, may Service Area be set to read-only.

Do check these once.

Kia ora @Pavan_Mani_Deep,

Learners in the Power Up Program do not have administrators to reach out to for their environments. Given it is a developer environment permissions are not an issue.

This post could end up being confusing for other learners.

Ngā mihi,

Ben
