Azure OpenAI on your data: deploying to a different environment than the default one or to existing chatbot

You can now connect Power Virtual Agents to Azure OpenAI on your data natively:

The deployment needs to start from the Azure OpenAI studio, after you've added "your data", and by default this creates a new chatbot in the default environment of your Power Platform tenant.

Here are workaround steps if you'd like to deploy to a different environment or if you need to enable this for an existing chatbot.
Note that this is subject to change, are the feature is still in preview, and the below guidance is only provided "as is".

i work a little bit on that... now i don't have a system errore but an empty answer. using metrics on the openai distribution and on azure search seems that it try to connect with them but on openai it receive a client error

while testing using Azure Open AI and Copilot studio, i was only able to get it to work if both Copilot Studio Power Platform environment and Azure Open AI search are both hosted in US region, when any of these 2 components were in a Canadian region, the bot weren't able to answer any question. is this a current limitation with the available version? or are there any configuration i need to perform to get it to work?

Yes i confirm that this is one of the issues, in this way the deployment of the copilot work  correctly. Still the answer is empty. Everithing works in the openai studio playground

Hi!

I am also currently creating a Co Pilot connection with Open AI Azure Playground, I am also running into the issue where I get a Power App created, however the Generative AI settings are turned off once I enable them and I add the necessary credentials the bot always goes through not understood as if the connection isnt even there. I tried everything but nothing seems to work.

Could it be that this feature is only available for the US region alone? I am working on France Central.

Is the only way to allow the Azure OpenAI connector to have the default behavior to move connectors to Business?

When I open the AOI Connection on Power Platform - is doesnt load and is stuck continuously. I am using a trial environment licence so I wonder if it could be that.

When I open the connections in Power Platform, I get the exact same issue where it doesnt load. Can I ask if you ever resolved this?

Hi @HenryJammes 

In other environments > Adding an Azure Open AI connection is hard. Not sure there is a way.  Also, existing connection details can't be seen. 

Any help pls
