Create loop component link via Power Automate

Dear Powerusers,

this is my first post in this great community, and I appreciate your feedback if I do miss important information to respond to my request.

I am a Microsoft 365 Administrator, and our workforce is enjoying .loop components more and more. We currently disabled loop workspaces due to the missing governance of the file storage (SharePoint Syntex from what I know).

We think loop components are the ideal way for collaborative meeting minutes / protocols, so we thought it might make sense to create a customized loop file and use it as a template. The following flow does this and copies the file to a predefined SharePoint folder.

After the new loop file has been created, a link to the loop component will be created and added to an existing OneNote overview.

Through the postfix "?web=1" I found a way to open the loop component within the browser instead of downloading it.

I am now looking for the automated generation of a collaborative link, so that you can copy the link to Teams / Outlook / Word and implement it like you would do by clicking this link: "copy as loop component".

So far, I do not understand the structure of the loop sharing links, but I hope for support as I know this community has some experienced geniuses on board. 😉

You can simply share the component in any of the ways, eg outlook or posting to a teams chat.

Microsoft Learn writes:

How are .loop files shared?

Loop components can be inserted in Teams chat, Outlook email, and so on, or be copied from one chat, email, and so on, to another. (Loop components aren't yet supported in Teams channels.) They default to the organization's existing permissions, but users can change permissions before sending to ensure everyone has access.

Opening components from Teams chat, Outlook email, or Whiteboard in Office.com offers share functionality at the top of the window, similar to the sharing options offered for other Office documents.

Hi Marco, 

thank you so much for the reply and your hints. I understand how to create collaborative links manually but I am wondering if this could happen automatically as this will be a recurring task. Basically the flow does:

1. copy an existing Loop-File to a SharePoint Document Library

2. Save the file with the chosen date as post-fix

3. paste a link to the new file in a OneNote page.

Between 2 and 3 I would love to create a collaborative link to the new loop-file and set the permissions on a group or user level.
