Move File error moving .one file

I have a multiple flows with different triggers to move a file from one folder in a document library to another. Up until a couple days ago everything worked fine. Now all flows are failing on the "Move File" Action when moving a .one file. It seems to still be working correctly for all other file types. See below for the error message followed by a coupe screen shots....

Hi @RFisch18,

I have tested it on my side, but not find the same issue.

Could you open these .one files on the SharePoint?

Hello,

I have the same issue when i need to migrate OneNote folder from local machine to OneDrive.

It worked fine on 27th november 2019. But does not work since 5th december 2019.

I use Sharepoint migration Tool 3.2.114.2.

Source : 1 folder with two .one files et 1 file *.onetoc2

Destination : https://#corporatename#-my.sharepoint.com/personal/#user_corporate_com#

Error message :

I can open the files. The problem is with moving them with a flow

@RFisch18Was this fixed?

@v-litu-msftI have the same issue with all .one files

No solution yet. Really no response at all

Hi @v-litu-msft  We really need help with this. More people getting the same error

@v-litu-msft

This is a big part of one of our business processes. I am having to move all One Note files manually as I'm the only one with permission. Can you please point us in the direction of a solution.

We are having the same issue using the official Sharepoint Migration Tool when migrating OneNote Notebooks from on-prem user folders to OneDrive. This was working just fine before mid-December. This does not appear to be an MS Flow issue. It appears to me this is more of a Sharepoint or OneNote issue. I'm about to open a support ticket with the Sharepoint team. I suggest you all do the same in hopes to get this in front of the right team and resolved faster.

@v-litu-msft

Just spoke with an Engineer on the Sharepoint Online Team, and they are aware of the issue. However, it is not impacting everything so they are not implementing a Global fix and are treating them as one off cases at this time. They will be implementing a fix for our tenant within the day. I'll follow up here to confirm whether or not the fix worked. If you are having the issue you should really consider opening a support case with the Sharepoint Online/OneDrive for Business Team.

Hell ShaunD,

Thank you very much for the information.

For mine, i opened a ticket at Microsoft since 1 month. I spin around.

Hi @ShaunD. Was this fixed for your tenant? Or it's still in progress?

@STt,

This was fixed within a few hours of submitting the Support Request. The MS Engineer was on a screenshare with me as well to verify the change they made actually fixed the issue as well.

 I reached back out to the Engineer to get some advice for you all to make sure you get to the correct team, and this is what he stated:

Hi Shaun,

Thanks for reaching out. The best advice I can give is for them to submit the ticket and make sure they have the error message clearly posted there.

However, with this message, our back-end team is working on deploying the fix we applied to your tenant globally, so they may not have problems with that in the very near future. Deployment started last week and can take a couple weeks as long as there are no roadblocks in that time.

Feel free to let them know that you discussed with MS Support and work is being done to fix that issue, but they are still welcome to open a ticket to get an official statement.

Thanks!

Thank you for the update. Glad to hear that a fix is in the works.

@ShaunD

We are encountering the same issue here, I have logged a support request with Microsoft but I am not getting any help. Being told this is a on-premise issue which the team don't deal with - we are migrating from an on-premise file share to SharePoint Online. Then being told that the Migration Tool doesn't support OneNote yet.

I have shown the person dealing with my request this thread and it is still proving to be a challenge.

Are you able to share you support request ticket number so I can give this for reference?

Experiencing the same issue with the tool and encountering the same issue with the SPO support team. Basically they are not escalating the issue because they say they cannot touch anything dealing with on-premises environments (SP or file shares). The support engineer would/could not tell me what team at Microsoft owns the tool either and recommended rather that I reach out to a Microsoft Partner (I work for one - we're testing this tool in a lab environment in preparation for a client) or look at 3rd party tools instead.

The really funny frustrating thing is that it worked - once - out of 50 different runs with various settings, but that run could not be replicated again.

Does anyone know which team owns the code for this particular tool? I'd like to escalate through my contacts at Microsoft to the correct team, but I'm not sure which team actually owns it.
